All About Agriculture

Last spring, STEAMe received a $500 grant from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) to begin creating an outdoor learning space for our students. We are placing an emphasis on agriculture at our school, and the funds were used to purchase raised beds and a rain barrel among other gardening supplies. Several of our 2nd Grade students helped Agri Teacher, Mrs. Taylor Cook, plant lettuce today. This is lettuce that our students will be able to consume in the future. We are proud of these green thumbs!! Stay tuned in the spring when we plant our butterfly bushes, also purchased with the AGFC Wildlife Grant.
